After watching CNN's comical and clueless coverage of the 'tea party' protests that peppered the country on April 15th, I found myself reworking their advertising.
"CNN. The network with the agenda you can count on."
I also enjoyed the snarkey and obscene teabag comments by the male CNN 'journalist' - or was it MSNBC - they both run together after awhile - who was outed messaging a couple of years ago for cocaine and prostitutes. So glad the network kept him on. After his performance yesterday, I'm pretty sure the network should consider randomly testing him for a variety of substances if they haven't recently.
One of their female 'correspondents' , Susan Rosegen (sp) did them proud when a father holding his son attempted to speak about Abe Lincoln in response to her belligerent question and she nearly gave him a beat down with her microphone as she repeatedly screamed, "what about the $400.00 you'll be getting from the government?", finally giving up in frustration when the man repeatedly asked to be allowed to answer her first question about why he was there. The CNN agendista, after this stunning display, turned to the camera explaining that the protesters were clearly a bunch of right wing nuts who were also protesting CNN. I'm with her. How dare that quiet American, concerned about the direction his country is traveling, bring his son to a civil protest the way our forefathers did and quote Lincoln. That bastard!
It apparently never occurred to her that perhaps at least some Americans still want to earn their own money and don't want the government sending them someone else's. Or taking the money from them in the first place, recyling it, and returning it to them as though they're doing them a favor.
Bet she has an Ivy League education.
I was pretty sure it was a Saturday Night Live skit until they went to the CNN logo.
But no. CNN has become its own parody.
Comedy News Network. Or Clueless News Network. Either works.
