For years I have watched rabid Bush haters and wondered at the power of it. There were many things I disliked about his presidency - things I vehemently disagreed with - but hate? People couldn't stand to hear his name spoken. Every photo op for actors was an opportunity to Bush bash. Hate rolled off of people like sweat after a vigorous workout.
I made it through the Clinton years and came away with an intense dislike and mistrust of the man - and his wife.
But now there is Obama, and I finally understand. If I ever had it in me to be the equivalent of a Bush hater, it is now. The sound of his voice as he destroys America makes me retch. That arrogant smile as he and Pelosi plot ways to steal from my family to give it to others makes me retch. Just looking at a picture of him makes me retch.
I feel as Alec Baldwin did during the Bush years when he said he was going to move to France. (France would be a perfect place for Alec Baldwin.)
I am amazed and helpless while crowds applaud this creature as he unravels the fabric of our society in record time. If he has accomplished what he has in the first five weeks in office, what will America be like in four years?
I am an official "Obama hater". There's nothing rational or polite about it.
So all of you Bush haters - I now feel the power of your emotions.
